While this is a blog that is mostly about books, both OB & I have free reign to indulge our other hobbies here – movie reviews, cooking posts and whatever else we want to talk about.

Most of you probably already know that I love to work with fabric in many different ways, especially while I am streaming my newest obsession, whatever that might, on Netflix (when I do handwork) or listening to audiobooks (while I machine piece/quilt).

My crafting goal for 2017 is to finish my projects! I have a few WIPs that I really want to finish this year, including my Halloween quilt. I thought it would be fun to do an occasional post about my fabrikrafting!

Today, I’m going to show you my first start of 2017! It is an embroidery project on a piece of Sarah Watts Cat Lady fabric by Cotton+Steel – something I sadly have very little of (and it is now fairly unavailable). This hoop will be for my daughter to take back to her apartment to hang on her wall!

I am fairly speedy at handwork, so hopefully I can get this done in the next few evenings. It’s just a little freehand project adding some embroidery accents to this already adorable fabric! I will post a picture once it is finished!
